Feasibility and Concept Studies
Fabricom Offshore Services provide a front-end option identification, screening and concept development capability to assist clients to evaluate various project solutions that may then be considered appropriate for further development. Based on a client’s initial statement of requirement, we will develop a range of potential, fit for purpose, engineering solutions that are studied, revised and reviewed. Preferred schemes are then taken forward for further development into the next project phase – project selection. This process provides assurance that the technical and commercial comparison of the various options are addressed, thus providing the client with the best technical and commercial solution. High level project risks are identified and mitigating actions noted to ensure successful development and execution of the project.
Specific solutions are often a result of our creative thinking exercises and multi-discipline brainstorming sessions carried out during the initial assessment of a project. This is an important part of the project assessment process, to ensure that all potential solutions are identified at an early stage.
Our ability to develop innovative solutions provides a means by which optimised designs, together with associated costs and schedule impacts, are presented for consideration prior to moving into the project selection stage.
Through the use of leading-edge simulation and engineering packages, we are able to develop the optimum solution from a range of potential concepts.
